Scars are a common and poorly treated problem.
More than 100 million people acquire new scars each year in developed countries; the overall effect is unknown.

Kelo-cote is a topical silicone gel, innovative, indicated for the treatment and prevention of hypertrophic scars and keloids.
It is indicated for scars resulting from trauma, surgery, burns, and other events that may cause injury to the skin and can be used on recent or old scars, so that the wound is epithelialized (closed) and the points of any surgical intervention removed.

When applied in a thin layer, Kelo-cote drys in minutes and lasts for 24 hours.

 Kelo-cote has been shown to flatten, soften and smooth scars, relieve the itching and discomfort of scars, as well as reduce the discoloration associated with scars.

It’s a self drying silicone gel that forms a waterproof and permeable film to gas, acting as an extra skin layer. This ensures a constant contact with the entire surface of the scar, allowing it to operate 24 hours a day.

After drying:
– Leaves no residue
– Do not stain clothes
– Allows the use of cosmetics, sunscreen and make-up.

The silicone used is standard for the treatment and prevention of scars and has shown clinical efficacy in relation to all other forms of topical treatment. It is recommended by the International Advisory Panel on Scar Managementfor the treatment of:

– Keloids
– Hypertrophic scars of extensive burns
